Collar greyhound

For large sighthound breeds such as the Greyhound, Afghan Hound, or Galgo Español, collars with widths ranging from 4 cm to 6 or 7 cm are ideal. Since we craft all our products in our Hamburg workshop and cut the blanks ourselves, we can accommodate any desired width. Choosing the Width:

At numerous sighthound events, collar widths between 4 cm and 7 cm have become standard for larger sighthounds, depending on personal preference. Selecting the optimal collar width is crucial; a collar that's too narrow can adversely affect your dog's cervical spine.

Unpadded and Padded Collars:

We offer both variants. On one hand, the unpadded collars are made solely from soft cowhide leather, approximately 4 mm thick.

On the other hand, we also provide padded leather collars, which offer enhanced comfort, especially along the edges. The padding slightly protrudes beneath the top leather, creating a rounded finish that also adds a touch of color. Between the top leather and the colored lining leather, we incorporate a soft neoprene padding. All three layers are glued and stitched together.

Collar Shape:

We craft our sighthound collars with a consistent width throughout, tapering only at the ends. This uniformly wide section covers a larger area of the neck, providing greater protection for the cervical spine compared to narrower collar designs. Additionally, this shape makes it more challenging for "escape artists" among sighthounds to slip out of the collar.

Collar Appearance:

There's a wide array of options: the choice of top leather color, lining leather color, and stitching color. Furthermore, we offer numerous appliqués to adorn the top leather of a collar. Browse through our shop to explore the many possibilities.

A special personalization option is engraving. Using a laser, we can inscribe names, phone numbers, or even custom graphics onto the leather.
